Candy Scene / Last Hallway

The candy scene for the True End of START AGAIN.

This is the only non-generic text in this hallway.

This scene is triggered by having 10 or more Weird Points when passing through the hallway. Weird Points are awarded for generally, well, weird actions, such as picking up keys before interacting with their doors, missing cues in social interactions, skipping conversations, walking down wrong hallways, etc.

Unlike ISAT, START AGAIN's weird points don't have a visual/auditory cue, but you can tell something was weird when everybody looks at Siffrin funny, generally.

The group are walking down the hallway, then suddenly stop.

The kid walks to the front of the group, blocking Siffrin's path.

Kid (annoyed1) Hey.

Kid (annoyed1) You look really crabbing bad, so take this.

(The kid gave you a CANDY.)

Housemaiden (smile1) Oh!

The fighter jumps.

Fighter (happy1) Ooooooh, someone's taking this snack duty very seriously!

Fighter (happy2) I'm real proud of you, buddy!

Kid (ew1) Aw, yay, thanks.

The kid walks toward the back to the group, stopping in front of the fighter.

Kid (phew1) Hey hey, I have something for you too!

(The kid gave him a frankly unimpressive rock.)

Fighter (wondering1) ...

Fighter (happy1) Awww!!! Thank you!!! I'll treasure it forever!!!!!!

Kid (ew2) aww what

Researcher (smug1) He's too nice for this, kiddo.

Housemaiden (smile1) Hehehe!

The kid jumps in frustration.

Kid (ew1) Urgh!!! You guys are so annoying!!!

(You look at the candy.)

Subsequent times only

(It looks the same as before.)

(It's small, and round, and a little bit sticky.)

(The wrapper makes a nice crinkly sound when you touch it.)

(You roll the candy in your hand for a little bit.)

Kid (annoyed1) Hey.

Kid (annoyed1) ...I gave you the candy for a reason, y'know.

(Ah.)

(You slowly bring the candy to your mouth.)

(.........Tastes like  cantaloupe.)

Kid (pout1) Hm. Good.

Kid (annoyed1) Let's go then!

Fighter (wondering1) ...

Housemaiden (gentle1) ...

Researcher (smile1) ...
