Left side hallways

Egg Key Door

Source: Map075 (Hallway (Locked 1-1))

The hallway immediately to the left of the central room. Leads to the armory (page WIP) and the hallway with the ghost, which is locked.

Without the key

Interaction text is generic. The key is the Egg Key, found in the kitchen on the right.

With the key

Interaction text is generic.

Ghost

Source: Map125 (Hallway (Ghost1))

Past the egg key locked door, there's a ghost. There's no text for this one, though.

Right side hallways

Level Difference

Source: Map124 (Hallway (LVL difference))

First hallway to the right from the central room after the tutorial area. Has no rooms except another hallway attached to it.

This event triggers if you walk through the hallway and Siffrin's level is 20 higher than the average of Mirabelle's, Isabeau's, and Odile's levels.

First time

This only plays once, but contains some unused variations were it to play multiple times. It can't, though. They're impossible to get.

Everybody stops walking.

Isabeau (wonder2) Hmm...

Isabeau (neutral1) Sif, did something happen?

  • First time: Siffrin (surprised1) (What?)
  • Subsequent times: Siffrin (fake1) (...)
  • "What do you mean...?"

Isabeau (blush1) Did you drink a special tonic or something? You seem, well...

Mirabelle (excited1) So graceful, right? I knew I wasn't imagining it!

Bonnie (happy2) You're walking in a cool way... Like a dancer or something!

Odile (isthatso1) You usually feel like a tiny fennec fox, but you feel more like a panther right now.

Odile (doubt1) And the way you defeated the last few Sadnesses we've seen... That was... Impressive.

  • First time: Siffrin (awkward1) (WUH OH.)
  • Subsequent times: Siffrin (fake1) (It made them laugh, so...)
  • "It's time to get serious, you know?"

Mirabelle (serious2) "It's time to get serious"...

Isabeau (fufufu1) "I will show the King my true power... I will show them all..."

Mirabelle (happy2) "And then... No one will ever make fun of me again for being barely taller than a preteen!!!"

Siffrin (siiiiigh1) "I'm the same height as you, Mira."

Mirabelle (awkward2) Oh...

(Mirabelle looks at your heeled shoes, then at her flat boots.)

Mirabelle (happy4) ...Is that so?

Isabeau (LMAO1) HA!

Odile (lol1) Yeowch.

Bonnie (yeah!3) Yeah, Belle! Hit him where it hurts!!!

(Yeowch.)

(...)

(Are you really moving differently, though?)

(Faster, more silently...?)

(...)

(Come to think of it... Your [allies/family members] do feel slower to you now. Clumsier.)

(How long have you been in there compared to them...?)

Subsequent times

After this, the event no longer occurs when walking through the hallway.

(You purposefully trip on a small rock.)

Bonnie (lmao1) HA!!!!

Isabeau (huh1) Woah, you okay, Sif?

(You give a thumbs up.)

(You're clumsy and not at all threatening and overpowered compared to them.)

Isabeau (wonder2) ...

You just got two Weird Points.

First Tears

Source: Map109 (Hallway (Tear)), Map140 (ACT5_Hallway (Tear))

Second hallway to the right, after the Level Difference one. Features doors to the locked storage room and the break room (WIP, no link).

In ACT 5, there's a ghost in this hallway that plays no text.

Tear Event

First time

Everybody stops walking down the hallway.

Siffrin (surprised1) (Oh...) "There's something over there."

Everybody walks up to the weird floating water. Mirabelle, Siffrin, and Isabeau walk in step with each other. Bonnie sprints after them, and Odile leisurely walks up last.

Isabeau (really1) Oh yeah! Some weird water?

Bonnie (proud1) I've heard about it from people in Dormont! They call those "Tears"!

Bonnie (surprised1) If you touch one you'll be frozen in time, that's what they told me. There were a few outside the village too...

("Tears", huh...)

(There might be a lot of those around the House.)

(...You know that dying of natural causes will bring you back...)

(But what about being frozen in time? Is it different? Would it stop you from looping back?)

(...Touch it?)

  • (You only live once! Touch it!)

Siffrin (joke1) "HEY GUYS WHAT'S THAT OVER THERE"

Everyone looks to the left, away from the tear.

Isabeau (sif!1) Huh? Are we being distracted?

    Siffrin steps toward the tear.

    (Yes.)

(You step forward and bring your hand up to the Tear.)

    The screen turns black.

(As you do, you feel a weird sensation in your stomach,)

    (And,

  • (You only live once... Don't touch it...)

    (Yeah, that's scary.)

(You should just go ahead and move on...)

    Bonnie darts up and down.

Bonnie (sulk3) Okay we get it let's stop looking at it! Can we go already?!

Bonnie pushes Siffrin one step forward, right into the tear.

    Bonnie (surprised1) Ah.

    (Oh.)

    Isabeau (huhwah1) SIF!!!

    The screen turns black.

The game over screen fades in. The game over text reads "(A Tear froze you in time.)"

Second time

(The tear stands in the way.)

(Okay you learned you're SMART now.)

(You ignore everyone's confused looks at the Tear, and keep walking.)

Subsequent interactions with the tear

From the second time in this hallway onwards, if you interact with the tear that Siffrin originally fell into.

Isabeau (brag1) You know, usually I'd be worried about this, but Sif doesn't seem worried at all!

ACT 2

(You give Isabeau a thumbs up.)

ACT 3

(You smile at Isabeau.)

ACT 4

(You keep walking.)

Odile (dotdotdot2) ...

Storage Room door

If you don't know what an openphrase is

(The door is locked tight.)

(The lock keeping it closed has an interesting shape... It doesn't have a hole for a key..)

Dialogue from here onward plays when choosing "(Look at it curiously.)"

At this point, the generic dialogue for locked doors plays out, explaining what an openphrase is.

Bonnie (oh!1) What's this room, though?

Mirabelle (awkward2) I think it may be a storage room...?

Mirabelle (happy1) I often saw Dormont's shopkeeper go there, he might know the openphrase for it!

Mirabelle (anxious1) If we... Had remembered to ask.

Bonnie (serious1) Oh.

Isabeau (boo1) Well, too late now, right?

Before asking the shopkeeper

(Hm...)

After asking the shopkeeper

(...)

If you know what an openphrase is

(The door is locked tight.)

(It's locked by one of those weird word locks.)

(...)

  • (Look at it curiously.)

Repeats the text for not knowing what an openphrase is.

  • (Say: "Change".)

(You say the word "Change" aloud.)

    (Nothing happens.)

    Mirabelle (happy1) Worth a try!

  • (Say: "Stostorage roomoom".)

Available after asking the shopkeeper for the openphrase.

    (...The door unlocked.)

    Odile (hm1) What.

Isabeau (hahaaa1) Well, let's go inside, then...

  • (Say: "Openphrase123".)

Available if you've gotten the openphrase from the Writing Room on Floor 3.

(You say the sentence "Openphrase123" aloud.)

    (Nothing happens.)

    Mirabelle (happy1) Worth a try!

  • (Leave the door alone.)

    (You leave the door alone.)

ACT 5

(The door is locked tight.)

(...)

  • (Say: "Stostorage roomoom")

    (You say the openphrase.)

    The door unlocks.

  • (Leave the door alone.)

    (You leave the door alone.)

First row of Tears

Source: Map113 (Hallway (RowTears))

Third hallway to the right, past the one with the first tears. Has doors to the kitchen past the row of tears (WIP, no link), and the room with the first Nostalgie (WIP, no link).

Event

This event always occurs the first time you walk toward the row of tears. On subsequent loops, it only occurs if you do not have the Star Crest.

Everybody walks down the hallway. Mirabelle, Siffrin, and Isabeau walk ahead. Bonnie sprints after them, and Odile meanders in last. They come to a stop in front of a row of Tears.

Isabeau (up1) I am DEFINITELY not looking around me and I'm admiring the view instead so tell me if I'm about to run into something dangerouuuuuus!

ACT 2 & 3

Before Isabeau can take another step forward, Siffrin stops him. They turn to face him the first time and in ACT 3, but don't for subsequent times in ACT 2.

  • First time: (WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH)
  • Subsequent times: (Woah woah woah woah[!/.])

Isabeau jumps.

(You keep Isabeau from running into the life-ending tears.)

ACT 4

Siffrin stops Isabeau without even turning. He jumps.

(You do the thing.)

Forgetting to stop him

1 in 5 chance in ACT 3 and 4. All dialogue marked "If you forgot" plays if this chance occurs.

(For a second, you forget what you're supposed to do, until your body takes over on its own.)

Siffrin turns to Isabeau and stops him from running ahead.

(You almost forgot.)

(You almost forgot to catch Isabeau before he runs right into the Tears.)

(You feel cold all over.)

Mirabelle (awawa1) Huh?

Bonnie (surprised1) Hah?

Isabeau (huhwah1) WAH! Wh-what? What is it???

Everybody looks at Isabeau.

Isabeau (surprised1) Is it the water? Should I... not touch the weird floating water?

If you forgot

(You're still thinking about what would've happened if you didn't catch Isabeau.)

(You have trouble breathing, but you can't let them notice--)

Odile (gimme1) The same weird water as before...

Bonnie (wow1) Oh, wait, I've heard about those!

Bonnie (proud1) The villagers in Dormont call them Tears, and if you touch them you get frozen in time!!!

First time

(Oh, right, they haven't talked about it before...)

Isabeau (omgggg1) Wait, so I almost DIED?!?

If you forgot

(He would have died.)

(Mirabelle wouldn't have been able to revive him.)

(Tears are different than the Time Stop skills enemies can hit you with, aren't they?)

(You don't know why you're so certain of that fact, but that would've been it for him, wouldn't it?)

(That's why you loop when you touch a Tear, but not when you're frozen in battle, right?)

(It would've been it, wouldn't it?)

(Isabeau would've died?)

Odile (urgh1) Maybe you should pay more attention, distracted one.

Isabeau (brag1) I'm keeping my eyes open for all threats except the ones in front of me!

Mirabelle (anxious3) We should be more careful... We wouldn't want to touch those!

Bonnie (proud1) Also, also! I also heard that being frozen makes you go to sleep, and gives you a super good dream!

First time

(Oh?)

Isabeau (neutral1) Oh?

Mirabelle (happy3) Oh?

Odile (huh1) Oh... Did you hear this from the people in Dormont, too?

One by one, everyone turns to Bonnie as they speak up.

Bonnie (wait1) Ah, um...

Bonnie (sad1) Um... A nice lady told me that when she heard my sister got frozen...

First time

(Oh!!!)

Siffrin jumps as as he thinks.

Isabeau (huhwah1) OH!

Mirabelle (sad1) OH!!!

Isabeau and Mirabelle both jump as they speak up.

Odile (sad1) Oh...

Bonnie hops thrice, as though stomping their feet.

If you haven't done Bonnie's Friendquest this loop

Bonnie (no!1) I-I know it's not true!!! I'm not stupid!!!

Bonnie (sulk2) Just... It would be nice... If that was true.

Bonnie (sulk1) ...So...

Bonnie (sad2) ...

If you've done Bonnie's Friendquest this loop

Bonnie (happy2) Oh, I know it's not true!

Bonnie (happy2) It just would be nice if it was, you know.

Bonnie (and then1) So!

Bonnie (lol1) So you should touch the weird frozen water and be frozen and let me know how it goes!

Isabeau (uwah!1) Pass...

Mirabelle (anxious2) Well, we might still need to go this way, so... We should look around and find if there's a way to make those disappear!

If you forgot

(He's fine. He's fine. He's fine.)

(You're fine.)

(You keep going.)

If you have a Star Crest

(You do have this Star Crest though...)

Row of Tears

If you do not have a Star Crest, the row of Tears acts like generic tears.

(The Tear floats gently.)

First time

(...)

(Okay, this might be stupid, but... What if you used the Star Crest you just got on those Tears, and see if it does something?)

(There is a teardrop engraved on that Star Crest, after all...)

(And if it doesn't work, well, yeah, you'll look stupid, but you can always loop back! And not look stupid!!!)

Subsequent times

(You have a Star Crest, so...)

(Use the Star Crest?)

  • ACT 2: (Free path time!) / ACT 3 onwards: (Yes.)

    (You use the Star Crest.)

The row of tears vanishes in a flash of light.

If you didn't see the event this loop

Odile (gimme1) Well, I don't know what this water was, but the crest made it go away...

Bonnie (wow1) Oh, wait, I remember! Those were Tears!

Bonnie (proud1) The villagers in Dormont call them Tears, and if you touch them you get frozen in time!!!

Isabeau (hahaha2) Good thing we found this crest, then!

    If you did

    Isabeau (hahaha2) It worked!

    Mirabelle (happy1) Bye bye, Tears!

    First time

    (PHEW.)

  • ACT 2: (Nah.) / ACT 3 onwards: (No.)

    ACT 2

(You decide to not use the Star Crest right now.)

Siffrin walks away from the row of tears.
